The Hôtel et Restaurant de la Poste et du Lion d’Or (Three-star) is the old staging post of Vézelay, a beautiful Yonne village classified World Heritage by UNESCO, not far from Avallon and Auxerre. The shooting of the film ‘La Grande Vadrouille’ with Louis de Funès and Bourvil contributed much to its fame. It is ideally situated at the foot of the Basilica of Saiint Mary Magdalene, and its rooms have recently been renovated to a high standard of modernity, elegance and charm. The rooms are quiet and air-conditioned, the service is of a high quality, and you can park your car in the hotel’s garage or its private car-park.

Our menus are well-balanced and an additional charge of 6 euros will be made for any changes

Reservations
While you are making your concert reservations, book your Summer Menu meal directly through the Rencontres Musicales de Vézelay, for 25€ per head, including wine and coffee. Below is an example of our Spring menu.
